Denver Boulder And Beyond
Was Up Family
Kickin it at my buddy Chris' in Denver. I've had a fucking awesome week thus far partying and climbing hard everyday. Eldorado Canyon loves me. I sent a 5.11b, pansy savage, the first day out here, and a bunch of 5.10a-c stuff. Yesterday I worked on leading shit. I led a 5.7 crack, 2 pitches, the second of which had some really sweet climbing. Dave fucking start leading, your way strong enough and its fun as shit. Longest climb was a sweet 5 pitches ending with 3 pitches of Alice in Bucketland. I climbed an awesome route, Hair City, on the west face of the Bastille. I could go on and on... Dave you'll get all the gruesome details later. One other thing, I took a big fall on Metamophasis, 5.10a. On the same climb the rope got stuck on a slab 15 feet below where I was belaying Chris on the 3 pitch. At 200 above the canyon floor I had to untie from the rope and free solo down to where it was caught to retrieve it. Fucking scared the shit out of my puckered little ass hole. Scares me just to think about it now.
On a happier note, we got wasted last night and I got up on stage at a bar and played the teletubby song. Tomorrow we drive to the Frank Church wilderness to begin our trip down the Middle Fork.
